Religious Education

St. Kathryn's faith formation program is designed to help children and their families grow in their desire to love and imitate Jesus in their every day life. To achieve this goal, we ask all families to bring their children to the celebration of Sunday Eucharist. All children's ministries provide prayer experiences, service opportunities and occasions for community building.

Children's Ministry Grades 1-6

Traditional religious education classes are offered for 3rd through 6th grade in the parish meeting center every other Sunday from 10am to 12 noon and every Monday evening from 5 to 6:15 pm. Children in the 6th grade can join the Jr. High program if they would prefer a large group experience. Please refer to the Jr. High section below. 1st and 2nd grade classes meet in a large group session once per month in the parish hall. In addition, all 1st and 2nd grade parents work with their child at home to reinforce our Catholic faith by using age appropriate materials we provide. Religious Education starts at the end of September and runs through April. Registration for all classes is held in May.

Junior High, High School

We pay special attention to developing a strong sense of faith in our Jr. and Sr. High School youth. Our programs strive to meet the following three goals as stated in Renewing The Vision (The National Conference of Catholic Bishops):

  • To empower young people to live as Jesus' disciples in our world today.
  • To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.
  • To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

Young Adult Ministry

This program targets young adults (ages 18 to 30 something) for fellowship, socializing, personal spiritual enrichment and evangelizing of peers. For more information, please check out the "Get Involved" tab and select Young Adult Ministry.
